Celebrate the end of Youth Week WA 2024 and the closing of this year's KickstART Festival with a party planned by a group of talented young creatives. Featuring local bands such as jazzy alt pop people Coco Elise, alternative rock and indie-pop group Sophian, and indie-rockstars Spici Water, this event will electrify and entertain.
The longest running youth-oriented makers market in WA, KicksART Market is back! In partnership with Plastic Jungle Art Markets. We’re transforming Forrest Place into a vibrant hub of creativity, featuring an array of stalls, unique handmade goods and live music.
Coordinated by the 2024 Youth Ambassadors, we will share the stories, work, and perspectives of young creatives, leaders, and organisations through an online publication - Catalyst. There will be lots of ways to contribute, so keep an eye out for opportunities to be featured in this exciting new project during Youth Week.

Explore the interplay between movement and sound. Led by artist Julie Ziegenhardt, this experimental animation workshop demonstrates the magic behind 2D animation in an abstract and unconventional way. Intuitively blend sounds, prompts, and guides using a variety of materials. Julie will guide you through crafting animations step by step, breaking down the process into playful, bite-sized chunks.
Young creatives are invited to grab their spray cans and stencils, and learn the tricks of the trade from local mural hero FRANK the Artist. This is part 1 of a 3 workshop series, run in partnership with the Town of Victoria Park. This isn’t just about learning cool spray paint techniques - it’s about expressing yourself, collaborating with your community, and making a real difference.
Presented in partnership with Perth Festival, young people are invited to creatively reflect and respond to themes of climate emergency through witnessing the exhibition Polarity: Fire & Ice on display at Fremantle Arts Centre.
